Online Entry Form for Labor Arts Contest

 
 
  • Only one entry per student
  • Entries will be judged according to originality, content, and style by an impartial panel of CUNY faculty
  • Poetry, non-fiction and fiction entries require an image related to the themes in the writing
  • Poetry entries should be single-spaced; there is no page limit
  • Non-fiction and fiction entries shall not exceed 25 pages (double-spaced, 1 inch margins, 12 point font)
  • Visual Arts entries should clearly demonstrate both a concept and technical proficiency. Poor documentation, incorrect file sizes, lack of an expressive statement, and/or failure to follow directions will disqualify your entry.
  • Winning entries will be published on the Labor Arts website (http://www.laborarts.org/)
  • Prizes will be awarded at a ceremony in Fall 2022

The Title of the file will be used as the Title of your Entry.
The entry itself must have a title page which includes the image you have chosen.

Image information (Poetry, Fiction, and Non-Fiction entries must include an image related to the themes in the writing)
Source of image (OK for image to be from LaborArts.org or from another source):
 

Image must be in .jpg format, 1200 pixels in the longest dimension at 72 dpi.
The Title of the file must be the same as the Title of your Submission.

Paste a brief (100-250 words) paragraph explaining how your work shares, and is a part of, the Labor Arts spirit; additionally, explain the medium and artistic tradition in which you are working.
