ARTD 3124 Foundations of Islamic Art 3 hours; 3 credits Exploration of the foundations of Islamic art beginning in the Middle East in the seventh century, following the spread of artistic developments through North Africa, Europe, and into Central Asia up to early Ottoman Empire in the sixteenth century. Starting Fall 2019 qualifies as an Inter-Cultural Competency (ICC) course for Pathways College Option purposes. Prerequisite: Art 1050 [1.3] or Core Studies 2.1 or Core Curriculum 1120 [1.2] or Art 1010.
