WGST 3710 Gender and the Body in Ancient Religions

3 hours; 3 credits

Study of social, historical, cultic, and literary contexts of gender roles, the body, and sexuality in ancient Greco-Roman religions, ancient Judaisms, and early Christianities. Application of modern theory to ancient evidence. This course is the same as Classics 3238 and Studies in Religion 3042.

Prerequisite: English 1010 or permission of the chairperson.
