TREM 4881 Advanced Directing for Virtual Reality

1 hour lecture, 4 hours laboratory; 3 credits

Building on foundational knowledge gained from 3881 Storytelling for Virtual Reality, students will explore advanced single and multi-camera directing frameworks for VR, culminating with an advanced project that each student will pitch, produce and direct. Utilizing advanced PCVR headsets and computers, students will learn to use virtual cameras and other VR toolsets to create works of original VR storytelling in both group and individual situations. Students will learn advanced virtual collaboration platforms and will interact with international students and VR professionals in a series of educational exchanges and guest lectures.
