Analysis of American occupational structure. Stratification ofoccupations in the labor market. The power of professions. Individual vocation and career choice. Descriptive studies ofoccupations. Recent changes in occupational opportunities for college and high school graduates.
Prerequisite: Core Curriculum 1230 [2.3] with a grade of B- or higher, or Core Studies 3 with a grade of B- or higher, or Sociology *1101 [5], or permission of the chairperson.
