Experimental studies illustrating important discoveries of twentieth century physics. They include Franck-Hertz experiment for energy quantization, Thomson?s experiment for ratio of electronic charge to mass, photoelectric effect and measurement of Planck?s constant, measurement of speed of light, interferometry, Zeeman effect, high-Tc superconductivity, and hydrogen fine structure.

Prerequisite: Physics 3900 [18]. Prerequisite or Corequisite: Physics 3100 [10.5].
