MUSC 3264 Music Computing

3 hours: 3 credits

Introduction to how computers can be used for a range of artistic, scientific, and technological musical applications. This course has a particular focus on the creation and control of digital sound through digital signal processing, sound analysis, and sound synthesis. Applications of these techniques to composition, sound design, new musical instruments, and games will be explored. This course is the same as Computer and Information Scienc 2600.

Prerequisite: MUSC 3260
