JUST 7708X Bible Seminar: The Book of Deuteronomy
30 hours plus conference; 3 credits
Intensive analysis of selected passages from a biblical book, with emphasis on philological, literary, historical, and ideological issues. Ancient Near Eastern parallels, classical rabbinic literature, medieval Jewish commentary, and modern critical commentary will be examined.
Prerequisite: permission of the instructor.
