As introduction to the content, formation, transmission, and interpretation of the Bible and the Apocrypha from antiquity through the Middle Ages. Topics include the canon of the Bible; Aprocrypha and Pseudepigrapha; biblical versions; Dead Sea scrolls and the Bible; and biblical interpretation.

Prerequisite: English 1012 or equivalent.
