HNSC 3000 Introduction to Kinesiology

3 hours; 3 credits

A professional orientation and introduction to the breadth of the field of physical education, disability sport and physical activity, and exercise science in schools, industry, and community agencies for majors in physical education, disability sport and physical activity, and exercise science. Contemporary, cutting-edge issues related to health and fitness. In-depth consideration of emerging issues such as childhood obesity, physical and cognitive disabilities, built environment, nutrition/diet, drugs/alcohol/tobacco and other such topics that are in health/fitness news and research. Not open to students who have completed Kinesiology 3000.
