History of women, gender, and sexuality in Europe from the era of revolution, industrialization, and demographic transition to the present. How did gendered notions of humanity play out in forms of political representation, the nature of the workplace, and the structure of the state? What were the implications for family life and social organization? How did sexual identities and the life course evolve in modern and postmodern societies? This course is the same as Women's and Gender Studies 3224.
