FILM 7523G Visual Effects and Motion Graphics

This course is an overview and introduction to motion graphics techniques that are used in the film industry. The course will include the terminology, theory, and practice of Motion Graphics, focusing on composting techniques, dynamic titling and informative graphics along with the beginnings of compositing and VFX. The basics of industry-standard compositing and motion graphics software will be taught and used in the hands-on creation and execution of visual effects and motion graphics sequences.

Prerequisite: FILM 7522G or permission of the program director
