ENGL 3193 Contemporary Literary Criticism and Theory 4 hours; 4 credits Major approaches to literature since 1960. Topics may include semiotics, structuralism, post-structuralism, deconstruction, narratology, new historicism, feminist theory, psychoanalytic criticism, Marxism, and social constructionism. This course is the same as Comparative Literature 3626. Prerequisite: English 1012 [2] or 2.7.
