This course explores a range of Shakespeare's plays representing the histories, comedies, and tragedies, with attention to cultural and historical contexts; discussion topics may include the plays' treatment of bodies, gender, sexuality, race, class, political power, the environment, and theater history.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1010; or corequisite ENGL. 1012.
