British Medieval Literature: Epic; Lyrics; Chivalric narrative; Life writing; Allegory; Mysticism; Drama; Fables. Possible themes may include: gender and sexuality; animals and the environment; race and racialization.

Prerequisite: ENGL 1010; or corequisite ENGL. 1012.
