ECON 7060X Health Economics

30 hours plus conference; 3 credits

Economic analysis of the structure, performance, and government policy in the health care sector of the economy. Demand and supply of health care services, the role of third party payers, and the public policy debate over government reform of the health care system. Microeconomic, econometric, and political philosophy concepts relevant to issues of justice in health care. This course is the same as Health and Nutrition Sciences 7144X.
