ECON 3253 Economic Geography 3 hours; 3 credits Spatial distribution of economic activity at the global, regional, and urban scale. Traditional location theory contrasted with political economy, cultural, and institutional approaches. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be used to investigate all aspects of economic activity in space, including industrial location, agglomeration, globalization and trade, development, and human-environment interaction.
