Principles, rationale, and research-validated methods of instructing and assessing special populations in a variety of settings. Inquiry processes across all content areas and life skills, including literacy, mathematics, social science, and the expressive arts. Focus on the New York State Learning Standards and educational experiences of children and youth from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Field experiences in schools and a variety of community settings.
