BUSN 3425 Business Communication and Data Visualization

3 hours; 3 credits

Introduction to data visualization, presentations, and storytelling in business, including writing, data visualizations, and oral presentation. Students learn to convey ideas and information with clarity to targeted audiences. Using standard industry tools, students learn how to explore, analyze, uncover, understand, and present data insights to facilitate data-driven decision making. Students are introduced to effective writing techniques and presentations, graphic design principles, strategies for effective oral presentations, and industry best practices.

Prerequisites: Computer and Information Science 1050, 1110, or 1115; Business 3400, Economics 3400, Psychology 3400, or Sociology 2112; English 1010 and English 1012
