SPCL 4000 Practicum & Internship Seminar in Special Education Settings
2 hours recitation; Weekly supervised teaching (at least 300 hours); 3 credits
Culminating supervised teaching experience in special education instructional settings with activities in curriculum-based assessment, evidence-based practices, and direct and explicit instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Emphasis on demonstration of appropriate assessment strategies, development of lesson plans, implementation of explicit instructional strategies, and use of behavior management techniques.
Prerequisite: SPCL 3250, SPCL 3350
