SPCL 3550 Intervention Strategies for Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities

Introduction and overview to critique and enhance attitudes and beliefs about individuals with significant disabilities. Learning characteristics of students with moderate and severe disabilities. Focus on understanding the treatment and services provided to individuals with significant disabilities, historically and present-day. Curriculum development and instructional strategies. Advocacy and transition beyond school years.
Prerequisite: SPCL 3250, SPCL 3350
