2 hours, minimum of 2 hours fieldwork and excursions; 3 credits

An on-site exploration of the city and its inhabitants in the final quarter of the nineteenth century as major components of the narrative fiction of Spain's two most important realistic novelists. Visits to important locations and museums. Excursions. All written work to be done in Spanish. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes.

Prerequisite: Spanish 2020 [11.1] or 2030W or 3610 [17.50] or permission of the chairperson.
