PSYC 3160 Psychology for a Better Society

3 hours; 3 credits

How behavioral research in social psychology can shape policy formulation and implementation. Central themes include a detailed analysis of human judgment and decision-making, and how a variety of motives and situational forces can affect people?s choices and behavior. Combined, these topics have important implications for policy design that affects individuals as well as the functioning of the organizations that determine those policies.

Prerequisite: PSYC 1000 and 2100
