PORT 1010 Elementary Portuguese I 3 hours, 1 hour multimedia laboratory; 3 credits The first course in a three-semester sequence for beginners and those who have one year or less of high school study. Development of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and cultural awareness through classroom interaction and practice, utilizing a variety of multimedia materials. (Not open to heritage speakers or to students who have completed more than one year of high school Portuguese.) Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes.
