POLS 3323 The Politics of Global Labor Movements
4 hours; 4 credits
Historical and contemporary analysis of international labor movements. Establishment of class compromises between labor and capital in the early 20th century. Global spread of neoliberalism and assault on US and global labor unions. New forms of worker organization in comparative perspective.
Prerequisite: Core Studies 3 or Core Curriculum 1230, or any Political Science course in the 1000-level range, or English 1010 or equivalent, or permission of department.
