POLS 3247 The Politics of Gender in The Caribbean

3 hours; 3 credits

Analysis of the role of gender in the greater Caribbean as it intersects with race and ethnicity in shaping nation-building, the economy, political relations, notions of citizenship, rights, policymaking, familial and societal relations, and cultural practices. Same as Caribbean Studies 3115 and Africana Studies 3341.

Prerequisite: English 1012 [2] or sophomore status or permission of the chairperson.
