MVMT 1910 The Art of Tai Chi: An Introduction to Wellness and Balance

2 hours lecture and practice; 2 credits

Introduction to the ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi, often described as ?meditation in motion.? Tai Chi promotes mental, emotional and physical wellbeing through gentle, flowing movements; it is known for its potential benefits in stress reduction, balance, and coordination improvement. No prior experience in martial arts is required. Regular practice outside of class is encouraged. Taught in English. (This course is the same as CHIN 1910.)
