MLAN 3151 Gender and Sexuality in Latin American Media

3 hours; 3 credits

The course focuses on Latin American mainstream media as well as artistic and alternative forms of representation of gender and sexuality framing the analysis with the works of communication and cultural studies scholars, and feminist social theorists who have theorized the role of gender and sexuality along other social structures that shape identity and power in contemporary Latin America. This course is the same as WGST 3151.

Prerequisite: English 1010 or permission of the chairperson.
