Adaptation of general education curriculum for teaching students across the range of special needs, including giftedness and multilingual students. Principles, rationale, and research-validated methods of instructing and assessing special populations according to their developmental needs in a variety of settings. Developmental processes across all content areas and life skills, including literacy, mathematics, social science, and the expressive arts. Focus on the New York State Learning Standards and educational experiences of children and youth from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
