ARTD 3810 ? Graphic Design
1 hour recitation, 1 hour lecture, 2 hours laboratory; 3 credits
Introduction to the ?eld of graphic design with an emphasis on the rapidly evolving role of the profession. Examination of graphic design processes and tools, including principles
of design, grid systems, typography, and hierarchy, and the creation of a complete visual message. Projects will culminate in the creation of a pre-professional portfolio. The course also provides a brief history of the ?eld.
