ARTD 3413 Advanced Painting

1 hour recitation, 1 hour lecture, 2 hours laboratory, a minimum of 4 hours independent work; 3 credits

Studio course to extend the student?s study into the practice and history of painting. Engagement in the diverse and complex media of painting, combining pictorial space on a physical surface. Development of student?s personal expression and cultural participation. Development of concepts, images, materials and tools in preparation for the creation of artworks. Students will visit Museums and Galleries as a group and individually. Students may take this course up to 3 times.

Prerequisite: Art 2410
