ANTH 3304 Raciolinguistic Ideologies and Latinxs

3 hours; 3 credits

Raciolinguistic ideologies, language ideologies, racialization and racial formation theory, linguistic profiling, language standardization, whiteness and Latinidad, anti-Blackness and Latinidad, the politics of language, linguistic racism/nativism and linguistic terrorism, racial stereotypes, anti-immigrant sentiment, ethnographies of race and language, Latinx Studies. This course is the same as Puerto Rican and Latino Studies 3304.

Prerequisite: PRLS 1001 or PRLS 2105 or PRLS 3105 or PRLS 3203 or ENGL 1010 or ANTH 1300
