MUSC 4940 Seminar in American Music 3 hours; 3 credits Studies in the development of folk, popular, religious, and art music in North America from the time of the first European settlers. Selected topics. Independent research, conferences, and seminar projects. Students may take this course for credit twice but may not repeat topics. Prerequisite: Music 11.4 or 3243 [24.3] or permission of the director.
