PHYS 4200 Electromagnetic Theory 3 hours; 3 credits Electrostatic and magnetostatic boundary value problems; systematic derivation of Maxwell's equations in vector notation; plane electromagnetic waves; spherical electromagnetic waves; application of Maxwell's equations to reflection, diffraction, dispersion, and scattering.
