LATN 4131 Latin Drama 3 hours; 3 credits Readings from the major Roman dramatists Plautus, Terence, and Seneca. Attention to be paid to style, meter, dramaturgy, relationship of the plays to their Greek models, the social context of performance. Students may take this course for credit twice but may not repeat the same texts. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes. Prerequisite: Latin 3112 [12] or Latin 2119 [1.9] or permission of the chairperson.
