BUSN 3371 Fundamentals of Risk and Insurance 3 hours; 3 credits Introduction to personal and commercial insurance with a focus on how risk is assessed, measured, managed, distributed, and transferred. Topics include the types of risks insurance companies are willing to underwrite, the factors that affect underwriting decisions, and the obligations of the insured and insurer.
