PSYC 2710 Introduction to Forensic Psychology 3 hours; 3 credits A general survey of forensic psychology. Topics include fundamental legal principles, such as expert witness testimony, and specific content areas, such as competency, child custody, workplace discrimination, legal definitions of insanity, New York State court system, civil commitment, violence risk assessment, psychological issues of being in prison, and treatment recommendations.
