SUST 2401 Spirit of the Earth

Environmental concerns of major religious traditions. Spiritual and doctrinal views of the environment in the Abrahamic faiths, Eastern religions and indigenous traditions. Philosophical roots of religious environmentalism. Religious influences on environmental philosophy. Religiously based conceptions of ecojustice and its connections with economic, racial, and gender justice. This course is the same as Studies in Religion 3728 and Philosophy 3728.
