FILM 1301 Screenwriting I 4 hours; 3 credits An introduction to the principles of screenwriting with special attention given to traditional cinematic narrative, plot and structure, scene design, and character development. Students learn by screening and discussing relevant short films, writing short screenwriting exercises, and completing a short screenplay.
