SPAN 1012 Basic Language Skills I 3 hours, 1 hour multimedia laboratory; 3 credits The second in a six-semester introductory sequence for high school students who have had no prior instruction in Spanish. Emphasis on basic social functions, simple conversation, readings, and writing. Introduction to the cultures where Spanish is spoken. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes.
