Overseas Invitation Application Instructions
To submit this application, you must have filed for graduation. Filing for graduation is done through CUNYfirst. If you have not filed for graduation before submitting this application, your request will be denied.
Please fill out this application very carefully as the overseas invitation letter(s) will be addressed to the guest(s) and the embassy in the foreign country indicated in the application. The letters are given to assist your guest(s) in the visa process so that they may attend the commencement ceremony. However, the approval of the visa request is determined by the embassy.
All guests, including overseas guests, must have a ticket to attend the commencement ceremony. As a reminder, each student is allotted a maximum of 4 tickets. Therefore, you may request up to 4 overseas invitation letters.
After you click submit, please be sure to finalize your submission by clicking confirm. After you click confirm, you will receive a confirmation e-mail indicating the information you provided in the application. Please allow a maximum of 10 business days for processing. You will be notified via e-mail when your letters are available for pick up.
If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail after you submit your application or if you are not notified to pick up your letters within 10 business days, please contact the commencement team.
