Change Access Code

What is an Access Code?
Your Access Code is a special password that grants you access to various privileged applications and services. Your Access Code is CaSe SeNSiTiVe, so be careful how you enter it.

My Access Code does not grant me access to an application/service that I need to use, what should I do?
Access to most applications and services needs to be requested. If you think that your Access Code should provide access to specific service, please call the ITS Database Group (x5861) to be put in contact with the appropriate system owner.

Why am I required to change my Access Code every four months?
Since your Access Code grants you access to privileged online services, changing it every four months is required for additional security.

My Access Code expired, what should I do?
Your Access Code expires every four months. You will receive an email notification one week prior, but you can change your Access Code at any time. Upon expiration, you are required to change your Access Code.

IMPORTANT: Since Access Codes can provide access to a variety of powerful and confidential systems it is critical that you safeguard your Access Code and change it often. If you feel it has been lost or compromised, please change it immediately or contact the ITS Database Group to investigate (x5861). After you successfully change your Access Code, the confirmation screen will indicate the new expiration date of your code, and also which Brooklyn College systems and services you are authorized to access.
