However, the Puerto Rican and Latino Studies and Business major includes one course [PRLS 1001] that also satisfies a Pathways requirement. Therefore, students majoring in Puerto Rican and Latino Studies and Business only need to complete 39 additional Pathways credits. *Students are required to complete one course in Spanish at Level 3 (SPAN 1030 or higher) or to demonstrate an equivalent proficiency by examination. **Students must complete one of the following: PRLS 2300, PRLS 3205, PRLS 3210, PRLS 3335, PRLS 4610, PRLS 4615, PRLS 4635, PRLS 4645, PRLS 5710, PRLS 5715, CAST 1001. The four-year degree map is designed to help you take the right courses in the right order so you can graduate in four years. It also helps you distinguish what courses qualify as Pathways courses, or Major courses, or General Elective courses. Ideally, you should follow the four-year degree map as closely as possible, but you are free to make some adjustments so long as the prerequisite requirements are satisfied. In conjunction with the four-year degree map, you should review Degree Works, and the Brooklyn College website, for an approved list of courses in your major.
