This five-year degree map is designed to help you take the right courses in the right order so you can graduate in five years. It also helps you distinguish what courses qualify as Pathways courses, or Major courses, or General Elective courses. Ideally, you should follow this five-year degree map as closely as possible, but you are free to make some adjustments so long as the prerequisite requirements are satisfied.

Students must achieve a grade of C or better in each of the required Accounting courses. This 150-credit undergraduate program is designed to allow students to meet the requirements of New York State for licensure as a CPA, while also obtaining sufficient required courses in the Business Management major. New York State currently requires candidates for licensure to have a total of 150 credits, including 33 credits in accounting and tax, and a total of 69 credits in business.

In conjunction with this five-year degree map, you should review Degree Works and the Brooklyn College website for an approved list of courses in your major. Overall, it is best to review your academic plan with your advisor on a regular basis.
