If the student is a native speaker, or has taken advanced courses in high school, the first FREN course at Brooklyn College should be FREN 2120 or an equivalent composition course. The student can then take FREN 2030W the following term. In conjunction with the four-year degree map, you should review Degree Works, and the Brooklyn College website, for an approved list of courses in your major. Overall, it is best to review your academic plan with your advisor on a regular basis.
